The FIRST thing we can do to reduce our national contribution to Sixth Mass Extinction (or Anthropocene Extinction) is to start drawing down our imperial, globe-astriding, full-spectrum dominance machine, the military industrial complex.
Our 800 bases in 80 countries are quickly being seen by those countries as 800 invasions. 800 invasions that are being used to coerce the “friendly” population into doing the empire’s bidding and are going to turn those countries into missile sponges if we initiate offensive action in the “potential adversary” that the vassal state is helping us surround and “contain.”
Just ask Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates what is was like to have all of that “American protection” in those foreign U.S. bases on their soil when the U.S. started an immoral, illogical, unwinnable bombing campaign in their neighbor, Iran.
We have plenty of greening of our socioeconomic order to get to, but at the moment, U.S. foreign policy is the number one threat to our ecosystem.
